Chine House Vets has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Director to join the team on a 6‑month secondment. We are seeking a Senior Clinical Director to lead the clinical and operational performance of our veterinary practice, delivering high standards of care across equine and small animal services. The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, support and develop other Clinical Directors, and work closely with group leadership and the Practice Manager to ensure the practice operates effectively, sustainably, and in line with wider business objectives.

About Us

Chine House Veterinary Hospital is a friendly, progressive, RCVS‑accredited small animal hospital based in Sileby. We operate our own out‑of‑hours service and work to exceptionally high clinical and patient care standards.

Our Facilities Include:

  • Separate cat, dog, and exotic wards
  • In‑house laboratory and digital X‑ray
  • A spacious, purpose‑built hospital with six operating theatres and multiple consulting rooms

The Role

This role is ideal for a confident veterinary leader who enjoys shaping clinical strategy, driving standards, and leading senior teams, while continuing to deliver the exceptional veterinary care that Chine House is renowned for. As a Senior Clinical Director, you will hold overall responsibility for clinical provision across the group, working in close partnership with an experienced business leader.

You Will:

  • Lead and support a team of senior vets and branch heads
  • Set and maintain clinical strategy, standards, and governance
  • Drive continuous clinical excellence and service development
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and expansion alongside departmental leads
  • Support teams in delivering outstanding patient care
  • Shape future strategy through regular engagement with business leadership

Alongside Your Leadership Role, You Will:

  • Oversee clinical provision
  • Maintain your own clinical caseload

Role Overview

Non‑clinical time: 18 hours per week
