Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic
Fixed Term Contract – 3 months (potential extension). Salary £45,000 – £50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced equine vet to provide temporary cover for our out‑of‑hours rota at Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic. The successful candidate will share a week‑on, week‑off schedule, covering approximately 50% of the first call out‑of‑hours rotation and working alongside a second on‑call vet for backup.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinic and emergency care for a diverse range of equine patients during out‑of‑hours periods.
- Assist with ambulatory cases and have access to full clinic facilities, including stabling, surgical suite, ultrasound and video scopes.
- Participate in the established out‑of‑hours rota schedule and support team coordination.
- Optionally offer locum cover for daytime appointments to supplement income.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to practice management tasks via the practice’s digital systems.
Qualifications
Experienced equine veterinarian with a current or pursuing RCVS certificate. Strong clinical background and ability to work independently during out‑of‑hours periods.
