We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Eastgate Vets on a 6-month fixed-term basis. Eastgate Veterinary Group serves clients across Suffolk and Norfolk, with RCVS-accredited practices in Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall and Thetford. The Role

  • 6-month FTC available on a full-time or part-time basis
  • Opportunity to be based at a single branch or work across all three sites, offering variety in your caseload
  • 36-hour week over 4 days (full-time), giving you a great work–life balance
  • 1 in 6 Saturday mornings, with time off in lieu to ensure your downtime is protected
  • Typical shifts are 8:30am – 6:30pm
  • Salary - £36,000 - £70,000 FTE dependent on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

A varied role with a balance of consulting and surgery, typically split between 2 days consulting and 2 days surgery, but we’re happy to tailor this to your interests.

About You

  • A confident, capable vet who enjoys both consulting and surgical work
  • VetGDP completed (unfortunately we are unable to support a new graduate)
  • Someone who values a supportive team environment and high-quality patient care
