Shift Pattern: 4-on, 4-off (2 Days: 07:00–19:00 | 2 Nights: 19:00–07:00 | 4 Days Off)
We are looking for:
- 1+ years of experience in a NOC or network engineering role, preferably within the telecoms industry.
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Fortinet solutions in a production environment.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting of network issues, including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and security policies within Fortinet systems.
- Manage and resolve escalated tickets in adherence to SLAs, documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
- Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers, telecom partners, and Fortinet support for advanced troubleshooting and issue escalation.
- Configure and maintain Fortinet appliances, ensuring proper implementation of updates, patches, and best practices.
Desired qualifications
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) certifications, such as Network Security, Security Operations or; The older Fortinet NSE 5 equivalent qualifications.
- Relevant networking certifications like CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Fortinet hardware and software, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAP, and FortiSwitch.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and IPSec/SSL VPNs.
- Experience with SD-WAN configurations and deployments.
- Proven ability to handle escalations and resolve.
- Familiarity with telecom network architectures, including MPLS and broadband technologies.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or similar platforms.
Network Monitoring and Incident Management
- Monitor telecom network infrastructure to detect and respond to anomalies, outages, and performance issues.
- Act as the escalation point for Tier 1 support, handling complex issues and driving them to resolution.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot network-related issues with a focus on Fortinet hardware/software, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and other Fortinet security solutions.
