My client is Scotland's leading provider of data centre, cloud, and infrastructure services. As they prepare to deliver a transformative new public sector technology programme, they're building a best-in-class delivery team. This includes a talented Project Manager to lead and coordinate key workstreams across the programme.
Role Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of specific projects within the larger programme, working closely with the Programme Director, technical leads, clients, and stakeholders. This role requires a delivery-focused individual with strong communication, planning, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of individual projects within the wider programme, ensuring successful execution against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, RAID logs, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure seamless execution of project tasks.
- Manage day-to-day project operations including status reporting, change control, issue resolution, and escalation.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, maintaining transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Support procurement and contract activities, including vendor onboarding and service integration.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and security standards across all project work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery processes and tools.
Essential Experience
- 5+ years' experience in project management roles, preferably in infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise IT environments.
- ServiceNow experience.
- Track record of delivering complex technology projects, ideally within public sector or regulated industries.
- Experience working within programme structures and collaborating with senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of project controls, governance, and documentation standards.
Key Skills
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and strong planning discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Desirable Qualifications
- PRINCE2, AgilePM, or PMP certification.
- Familiarity with public sector delivery frameworks.
- Understanding of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or other compliance frameworks.
