This role is focused on data-centre networking and firewall platforms. The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating network and security infrastructure, including third-party connectivity.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement and support data-centre network infrastructure
  • Configure and support firewall platforms with a focus on Fortinet
  • Support Cisco network infrastructure including ACI
  • Manage and troubleshoot third-party connectivity and interconnects
  • Work with service providers, carriers and customers on network integration
  • Support change, incident and problem management activities

Required experience

  • Strong experience in data-centre networking
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers
  • Cisco networking experience, including ACI and Aruba switching
  • Experience supporting third-party connectivity (MPLS, WAN, interconnects, cross-connects)

Desirable

  • Experience working within a managed services or hosting environment
  • Exposure to multi-tenant or shared infrastructure models
