The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the position holder will be responsible for managing procurement of IT goods and services and providing general procurement support duties such as managing IT budgets, preparing business cases, vendor management, and product sourcing. In addition, the role has responsibility for the management of IT processes and procedures by ensuring that the IT Knowledge Base is periodically reviewed and documentation remains up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with IT Service Delivery and Operations teams to ensure the Knowledge Base is maintained appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the IT function on the procurement of goods and services, using ERP systems to ensure quotations, invoicing, purchase order creation, and goods receipt processes are tracked and auditable.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of procurement principles and practices, contract administration, and various licensing models.
  • Manage interfaces between supplier management and related processes, including service level management and corporate procurement functions.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders, providing high standards of customer service and support.
  • Ensure all IT supplier processes align with corporate governance requirements, processes, and standard terms and conditions.
  • Maintain and review supplier and contract data within contract management systems.
  • Ensure all IT contracts and suppliers comply with applicable data protection and information security requirements.
  • Manage IT purchasing and contracts effectively to ensure value for money and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Assist department management with conducting quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Support knowledge management initiatives to ensure information is gathered, stored, analysed, and shared effectively, reducing duplication of effort across team.

Candidate Criteria

  • HNC/HND qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in an IT procurement or administration role.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Supplier engagement and vendor management experience.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL v4) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of negotiation principles, tools, and techniques.
