An opportunity not to be missed for an experienced Solutions Architect to join one of the most exciting and fastest growing tech companies in Scotland. This role bridges commercial, technical, and operational teams, ensuring customer requirements are translated into robust, compliant, and cost-effective architectures aligned with our infrastructure and service portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customer engagements, solution design, and technical governance across colocation, cloud, connectivity, and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture
- Design end-to-end infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions using Datavitas data centre, connectivity, and partner ecosystems.
- Produce high-level and detailed technical architectures, including network, compute, storage, security, and DR/BC.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, availability, compliance, and security requirements.
- Validate designs against operational, financial, and regulatory constraints.
- Customer Engagement
- Act as the technical authority during customer engagements and projects.
- Work with sales and account teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and design reviews.
- Present solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Delivery & Implementation Support
- Support project and operations teams during solution implementation.
- Provide technical governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Assist with troubleshooting and optimisation of deployed solutions.
- Ensure smooth handover to support and operations teams.
- Standards, Security & Compliance
- Ensure architectures align with industry best practices and Datavita standards.
- Support compliance with ISO, GDPR, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Embed security-by-design principles into all solutions.
- Contribute to risk assessments and resilience planning.
Technical Experience
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Infrastructure Architect, or similar role.
- Strong background in data centre environments, colocation, and hosting services.
- Experience with:
- Enterprise networking
- Virtualisation and compute platforms
- Storage technologies
- Cloud platforms and hybrid architectures
- Backup, DR, and business continuity solutions
- Understanding of security architectures and compliance frameworks.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working for a data centre operator, MSP, or cloud provider.
- Knowledge of high-availability and mission-critical environments.
- Experience designing regulated-sector solutions.
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency in data centres.
- Experience with edge computing and multi-cloud architectures.
