Amazing opportunity for an experienced developer to join a hugely reputable technology company in Hamilton offering unrivalled career opportunities. You will be instrumental in designing, delivering, and maintaining software solutions that support our hosting, cloud, HPC and AI-ready services. You will work closely with infrastructure, operations, and product teams to build robust APIs, integration layers, automation, and client-facing applications ensuring we can deliver on ambitious timelines and scale with growing demand. You will be part of a team responsible for the ongoing research, development, governance and delivery of our strategy to invest in new ways of doing things. This role is office based, within Hamilton International Technology Park, with the flexibility to work at home for up to 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services and application integrations using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design, document and implement APIs (RESTful APIs, Open API / Graph-style APIs) to expose functionality, integrate services, or enable external partners/clients.
  • Plan and estimate development effort and timelines; collaborate with product and operations teams in design, planning, forecasting and delivering on agreed milestones.
  • Build and maintain integrations (REST, SOAP, other internal/external systems) as required by business and client needs.
  • Work with the wider engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure delivered applications operate reliably in our high-density data-centre environment.

Essential Experience:

  • 3 years professional experience delivering applications in a fast-paced/production environment.
  • Strong competence in Python development.
  • Strong competence in JavaScript development.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs (OpenAPI/Graph-style APIs).
  • Proven track record of planning, estimation, time forecasting and delivering to deadlines.
  • Experience building and managing integrations, especially via REST and/or SOAP interfaces.

Highly Advantageous Experience:

  • Building or maintaining applications that leverage LLM inference, vector databases, or knowledge-graph technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development (or other enterprise service management platforms).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, modern build and deployment orchestration.
  • Use of code-scanning tools (or static analysis / security scanning) as part of development lifecycle.

Beneficial / Bonus Skills:

  • Experience building SDKs (in Python, Golang or other languages).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with Ansible, or other configuration-management/orchestration tools.
  • Understanding of orchestration platforms, containerisation or cloud-native orchestration.
