Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment and progress.
- Oversee procurement of construction services, equipment, and materials.
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Oversee installation of critical systems including power, cooling, mechanical, and structural elements.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.
- Provide clear and consistent reporting on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Risk & Quality Management
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are in place and followed throughout the build.
- Manage change control processes and assess impact on cost and schedule.
- Oversee commissioning activities to ensure systems are tested and operational.
- Ensure smooth transition from construction to operations teams.
- Manage documentation, certification, and final project close-out.
Key Requirements
- Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments (e.g. healthcare, utilities, industrial facilities).
- Skills
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
- Qualifications
- Project Management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) preferred.
