We are looking for someone to join our Data Centre Engineering team to complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance to our critical M&E Infrastructure at our owned sites. The role involves routine and unplanned maintenance of the critical and non-critical M&E infrastructure along with provisioning IT services to meet our internal and external customer requirements. The provisioning of IT services could be at any of our operational sites. All works are recorded via our industry leading management portals which include CAFM, DCIM and Service Management tools. These duties are required to be carried out in line with the constraints imposed by our contractual SLAs. The Datacentre is operational 24x7x365 therefore the post will include an on-call element. The individual will have a keen eye for detail and a pro-active attitude towards their duties. Will have good communication skills, is able to work as part of a team as well as managing their own workload and time management. Keen to learn - through on the job training, formal training and personal study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance of critical M&E assets
- Complete condition monitoring of critical M&E and IT assets
- Respond to issues in an efficient manner to maintain business SLAs
- Complete and document fault finding as part of root cause analysis
- Provision IT services following an approved workflow
- Report and track issues via the appropriate management tool
- Keep management and other departments up to date at all times
- Promote and adhere to health and safety requirements
- Assist Operations and Security Staff as required
We are looking for:
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Previous experience of working within a Facilities organisation operating as an Electrical Engineer
- Previous experience of working in a Facilities organisation within a critical environment
- Previous experience of working in a Data Centre
- Knowledge of High Voltage systems and networks
- Knowledge of M&E statutory maintenance legislation
- Requirements for Electrical Installations
- Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing
- Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
- Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
- Heating and Ventilating Installation experience
- IOSH Working Safely
