Job title : Day Operator Reporting to: Chargehand Department/Site: Widnes Direct reports: Job purpose: The Day Operator will work with the Chargehand and the Site supervisor to assist in running the plant safely and also is responsible for the safe operation of the site vehicles. He will work with the Charge hand to ensure these are well maintained and in good condition. Key Accountabilities: Performance and Compliance Monitoring Assist shift operations team with the loading and off-loading of road tanker as instructed Provide support and assistance to the Chargehand and the Site supervisor Work on the Wharf as needed, particularly when boats are to be loaded or unloaded Risk Assessment & Permit to Work Work within the permit to work system and assist in ensuring that all contractors are following the permit to work system Ensure activity is completed in line with all risk assessments and safe systems of work Complete all duties as Permit Issuer on site within the Permit to Work system.
