Armstrong Knight are working with a forward-thinking company to find a Senior Management Accountant. The company has an expanding network of UK sites and employees across the UK.
What will the role involve?
- Completion of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including all appropriate schedules, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Reporting and analysis of monthly cost variances.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register.
- Maintenance and control of sales and allocation of balances.
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts to quarterly payments and allocation of balances in Sage.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank credits recorded in the cash book.
- Agreeing daily cashbook reconciliations.
- Monthly Auction Summary.
- Profit Share reports.
- VAT Returns for all companies.
- Assisting the Financial Controller in entry/authorisation of online payments.
- Completing credit card summaries and posting them to the accounts system.
- Assisting in the year-end audit process.
- Treasury and cash flow accounting.
- Liaising with the wider accounts team to ensure they hit their targets in completing the underlying ledgers.
Skills Required:
- Suitable candidates must be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified.
- Experience working in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Logical with excellent problem-solving skills and competent in Excel (intermediate/advanced level).
- Experience using Sage 200 would be an advantage.
