Management Accountant
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a highly regarded and well-established retail business based in Rayleigh, Essex .
Our client is a successful organisation with an excellent reputation, a strong presence within its market and an established history. Due to continued development of the business, they are now looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of a commercially minded Management Accountant.
This is far more than simply a month-end accounting role . You'll work closely with senior management, providing meaningful financial information, analysis and insight that will help influence commercial decisions and support the continued success of the business.
The role will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Cash-flow and financial performance reporting
- Production of meaningful management information
- Analysis of trends, margins and business performance
- Supporting budgeting and business planning
- Working closely with operational and senior management
- Assisting with year-end accounts and external auditors
- Helping to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
About you
We are looking for someone with solid management accounting experience who enjoys being commercially involved in a business , rather than simply producing numbers from behind a desk.
You may be qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience . More important will be your practical experience, attention to detail and ability to understand and communicate the commercial story behind the numbers.
Previous experience within retail, FMCG, distribution or another fast-moving commercial environment would be particularly advantageous.
