The successful candidate will ensure rigorous financial control within the business, driving through change where appropriate and providing stakeholders internally and externally with accurate, timely and relevant financial information.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the production of timely, relevant and accurate financial, commercial and operational reporting.
- Oversee submission of statutory reporting requirements (Statutory accounts and audit, Corp tax, PAYE, VAT, Company filing).
- Management, motivation and development of accounts team, ensuring quality output from each of the respective areas.
- Manage, review and sign off all outgoings in the business ensuring rigorous checks are done.
- Efficient management and reporting of cash flow including accounts payable and credit control.
- Develop and enhance efficient internal management reporting systems.
- Develop internal procedures and processes to mitigate financial risks.
- Production of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly cashflow projections.
- Commercial and Operational performance monitoring and review.
- Assisting with ongoing cost reduction and stock management programme.
- Assisting Financial Director in other matters (insurance, legal, contract review).
Qualifications
- You will be ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified with 5+ years post qualified commercial experience.
- You should have a proven record of managing people and be capable of improving systems, procedures and processes.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally to the business is essential.
- A manufacturing/wholesale/retail background would be advantageous.
