Responsibilities

  • Taking immediate responsibility of the planned staged integration of Sage Eque II real time group management system to support multiple independent trading companies in a rapidly growing contracting group.
  • Liaising with the Finance Director throughout, taking day to day responsibility for system interrogation, testing and communications.
  • Taking responsibility for 2 key operational divisions as Financial Controller.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting directly to the Group Finance Director.
  • Working with the Group Finance Manager to ensure timely, accurate and robust monthly reporting is deliverable for these divisions.

Qualifications/Experience

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) - potentially qualified by experience - capable of demonstrating.
  • Experience of accounting within a group reporting structure, focused upon divisional performance as well as overall group performance.
  • Inquisitive and analytical skills.
  • Strong IT skills, conversant with Sage accounting products generally and covering advanced Excel / Power BI skills to support the automation of management reporting on a daily basis.
  • Strong commercial skills able to complement your accounting skills.
  • A strong communicator, someone that will recognise, embrace and overcome change management toward a digital based reporting culture.
  • A strong understanding of the construction industry contracting market would be an advantage.
