We are currently working with a well-respected accountancy practice near Dartford seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. They are looking for a hard-working, self-motivated individual with at least 3 years of accountancy practice experience.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, rental portfolios and individuals
- Preparation of Corporation Tax returns for companies
- Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns
- Ad hoc projects as they arise, including HMRC Let Property Campaign disclosures, Inheritance Tax reviews, etc.
- Assist in the merger of our two practices
Requirements / Qualifications
- At least 3 years of accountancy practice experience
- Self-starter
- Ability to implement and consistently improve on best practice within the firm
- Willing to play an active role in helping to develop and implement a strategic plan
- Ability to deliver systems training to staff and clients, when necessary
- Ability to use own judgment and excel at problem-solving
