Armstrong Knight is working exclusively with a fast-growing, highly entrepreneurial property investment and development group based in the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) to join a multi-faceted property business operating across investment, development and student housing, with exposure to a large and diverse portfolio of companies. The role offers real responsibility, commercial involvement and genuine long-term progression within a business that continues to scale rapidly.
The Role
You will take a hands-on position within the finance team, responsible for statutory and management accounts across a large group structure, while supporting the wider business with reporting, compliance and forecasting. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of statutory and management accounts across a multi-company portfolio
- Quarterly consolidations with commentary
- VAT returns including partial exemption calculations
- Corporation tax review and support with tax planning
- Preparation of audit files and liaison with auditors
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Bank covenant compliance and payment authorisations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial reporting for rental and investment properties
You will be working closely with senior finance leadership and operational teams, gaining broad commercial exposure.
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong statutory and management accounts experience
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment
- Strong Excel skills
- Confident communicating across finance and non-finance teams
- Detail-focused with a commercial mindset
- Property or group company experience is beneficial but not essential
