Due to this growth our client is now seeking to recruit a commercially focussed Financial Director to work closely with the directors of the business assisting them in taking the business to the next level in line with its 5 year strategy.
Responsibilities
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel
- Oversee the external audit and liaise directly with the auditors
- Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with banks, customers and suppliers
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis and report directly to the board
- Assist with hiring a finance manager/assistant to support you in your role
- Ensure the stock system is properly maintained and reporting accurate figures
- Conduct analysis to make financial forecasts and cash flows
- Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as director of finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and preferably experience with Xero
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
