Our client is currently looking for a senior accountant to join our Clients Chartered Accountancy firm in Wolverhampton City Centre. They are looking for a candidate with practice experience who is a minimum of AAT qualified, can prepare statutory accounts, personal tax returns, and has experience of dealing with clients over the phone and face to face.
You will act as a senior accountant overseeing a team of personal accountants who work for a portfolio of clients. You will need to have an excellent understanding of the fundamental principles of accounting and candidates with both accountancy and management experience will be looked at with particular preference.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a small team of personal accountants
- Ensuring clients receive a pro-active service
- Dealing with escalated client queries if and when these arise
- Preparation and submission of Statutory Accounts
- Preparation and completion of Personal Tax Returns
You will be well presented, have excellent communication skills, first class customer service skills, and good time management and organisational skills.
Essential requirements:
- ACCA/ACA part or full qualified
- Minimum of 4 years practice experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable requirements:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- Experience and working knowledge of IR35
- Experience of using Freeagent software
- Experience in Freelance / Contractor accounting
