My client is currently recruiting for a Semi-Senior / Newly Qualified Accountant to join a reputable practice based in Canvey Island. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading independent practice that offers a thriving and supportive working environment. The firm are leading experts in providing accountancy, audit, tax, corporate finance and business advisory services, and you will benefit from working alongside a team of proactive and motivating individuals with specialist experience in all aspects of accounting.
Based within the general accounts department, you will take responsibility for producing accounts on behalf of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, along with preparing and filing corporation tax returns. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that is committed to mentoring and progressing its employees.
The ideal candidate will be either newly qualified, or studying towards ACCA/ACA. As Semi-Senior / Newly Qualified Accountant, you will benefit from a competitive salary and fantastic benefits package, along with the opportunity to progress within your career.
The Semi-Senior / Newly Qualified Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparation of statutory accounts from incomplete records
- Preparation and filing of corporation tax returns
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Liaising with clients regarding any queries and in respect of accounting and audit matters
- Managing client relationships
Essential Requirements are:
- Must be AAT Qualified or part ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant role within practice
- Ability to manage and prioritise a number of different assignments at any one time
- Good client facing / communication skills
