We are currently working with a top 30 Accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll processor to join their expanding team based near Norwich. This role will offer you the opportunity to work for one of the best Accountancy practices in the country and gain large company experience.
Your duties will include but may not be limited to:
- Undertake a range of computerised and manual payroll processing assignments from start to finish on Star.
- Provide excellent customer service, helping to develop and maintain client relationships and reinforce the premium payroll service we provide.
- Actively provide a first point of contact for clients.
- Keep up to date and learn new skills as the client work demands.
- Effectively manage own time on assignments.
- Process Payroll End of Year Returns.
- Assist with queries from clients and internally within the team, providing day to day support to Trainee Payroll Processors as and when required.
- Reconcile and resolve any issues with reference to both the client and colleagues.
- Assist with payroll processing from other team members' allocations.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Proven skills and experience in computerised and manual client payroll processing.
- Previous payroll software experience, preferably Star.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of PAYE.
- Demonstrate a high standard of competence in processing basic payroll assignments.
- Demonstrate a competent knowledge of starters, leavers, RTI and EPS.
- Demonstrate a competent understanding of Star (and other payroll software) and the proven ability to develop that knowledge.
