An award winning brand development agency are seeking a talented WordPress Website developer. This is an ideal opportunity for a 2nd job, or someone looking for a challenge following an entry level position. Based in the heart of Maidstone and working with national and global brands, my client has built a strong reputation across Kent and the home counties for their passion, creativity and variety of work. Due to continued expansion of the digital team they are seeking a developer to join the team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience building and maintaining websites. An in-depth knowledge of the WordPress platform is essential and some knowledge of launching, hosting and maintaining websites are also key skills for the role. The successful candidate will be expected to ‘hit the ground running’, working swiftly, accurately and sometimes independently to meet deadlines on time. Our overall aim is to find an extremely motivated, hard working and creative individual who is looking for the best possible next step in their design career.
Job Role Requirements:
- Developing & maintaining bespoke WordPress websites
- Maintenance of existing features & plug-ins
- Assist in ongoing client requests
- Contributing to the development of new features
- Contributing to ensuring the security of the platform content
- Staying up to date with the latest WordPress updates and the effects that come with these updates
- Working with our creative team to bring our designs to life
- Can spot and rectify problems
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP + JavaScript
- Knowledge of SEO, PPC and Google Development tools a bonus
