Our client, a leading practice based in West Yorkshire, is seeking to recruit a new position. The Tax Team Manager will be part of a commercially-minded proactive service team and will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the tax team, driving forward and overseeing the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns, and organising the workflow of the team to ensure that all deadlines are met. There will be a client portfolio, but this is not the main focus of the role. The precise client mix will be subject to the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and allocation of work to the team
- Managing projects efficiently
- Providing regular status reports of work allocation, timescales and targets
- Reviewing some work being carried out by members of the team
- Encouraging and helping to develop all team members
- Helping to ensure the commerciality and recoverability of time costs of team members
- Managing their own small client portfolio
- Discussing major issues and planning points on work carried out with Partner
- Dealing directly with clients and must have sufficient technical knowledge to deal with client queries
- Liaising with other service lines as necessary, i.e., Accounts, Payroll, VAT
