  • Support lessons-learned sessions and feedback into design practice improvements.
  • Collaborative approach with mechanical and manufacturing disciplines.
  • Ability to interpret complex specifications and apply sound engineering judgment.
  • Review project P&IDs, mechanical submittals, and motor data sheets to inform design.
  • Perform load calculations and prepare accurate load schedules with diversity factors applied.
  • Produce detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), earthing and bonding diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Use Trimble Pro Design or equivalent software to generate electrical schematics, switchboard and distribution board layouts/schedules.
  • Prepare block cable diagrams and, where applicable, Quick Connect Diagrams for site deployment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and programme requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, revision control, and documentation throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Ensure designs account for safe isolation, maintenance access, and buildability.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience (minimum 2 years).
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design for building services, packaged plant rooms, or industrial systems.
  • Proficiency with Trimble Pro Design or equivalent design/calculation software.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical standards and directives including:
    • IET Electrical Installation Design Guide
    • IEC 60204-1 (Electrical Equipment of Machines)
    • EN 60364-1 (Low Voltage Electrical Installations)
