Position: Full time onsite - Day & Night Shift

Location: Droitwich Spa

In this role, you will lead our manufacturing operations by executing production plans and achieving production goals within established timelines. A successful candidate will drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards and following all safety and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production & Operational Management
    • Execute daily production schedules, ensuring quality standards and delivery targets are met.
    • Optimize production efficiency, labour utilization, and cost metrics to maintain smooth operations.
    • Collaborate with the Planning department to develop, adjust, and communicate production schedules.
    • Analyse manufacturing variances, implementing corrective actions to address inefficiencies.
    • Manage production order processing and ensure accurate transactions in the ERP system.
    • Support new product launches and process improvements to enhance production capabilities.
    • Lead, coach, and develop production team members, focusing on performance management and skill enhancement.
    • Conduct daily production meetings and ensure effective shift handovers to maintain seamless operations.
    • Manage staffing levels, overtime, and time and attendance through the ADP system to meet production demands.
    • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of new team members to build a strong workforce.
  • Quality Control & Safety
    • Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment.
    • Monitor production quality metrics and implement corrective measures as needed.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving to address operational or quality challenges.
  • Inventory & Materials Management
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the timely procurement of materials to support continuous production flow.
    • Verify variances in the Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure all materials are used according to planned requirements.
    • Generate and analyse production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights for process improvements.
    • Verify and address discrepancies between planned and actual costs and quantities in the BOM.
  • Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives
    • Lead sustainability efforts, implementing strategies for energy efficiency and waste reduction.
    • Promote environmentally friendly practices such as recycling and reducing the carbon footprint of production operations.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Education and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and or Mechanical Engineering
  • Heavy Manufacturing or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in assembly and similar production/manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of supervisory experience leading hourly production employees, including coaching, feedback, and accountability, while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Proven ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Demonstrated safety-first leadership with consistent enforcement of safety standards
  • Experienced in planning and executing production work, including labour allocation and task prioritization.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with ERP systems (LN preferred).
  • Experience with ADP for time and attendance management.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes and quality control techniques.
  • Ability to break down complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Effective, team-oriented leadership with a bias for action.
  • Sound judgment with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and perform effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
