This is a full‑time, on‑site IT Technician role based in Stoke Prior. The IT Technician will provide hands‑on technical support to clients, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network‑related issues. Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to support tickets
- Performing troubleshooting both remotely and on‑site
- Ensuring incidents are documented, managed, and resolved within agreed service levels
- Onboarding new customers
- Assisting with system installations, upgrades, and migrations
- Maintaining endpoint security, backups, and overall system reliability
The successful candidate will interact directly with customers, delivering clear and professional communication while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including familiarity with operating systems, networks, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including security policies, data management, admin centres, and user administration
- Ability to manage Microsoft 365 tenants end‑to‑end – Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Exchange Online, MFA, and RBAC
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration skills
- Hands‑on Exchange Server experience (on‑prem and hybrid)
- Networking fundamentals – routing, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP
- Windows Server administration – Active Directory, Group Policy, RDS
- Backup and DR experience (Datto, Veeam, or similar)
- Huntress, Inforcer and Smoothwall experience
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Experience delivering hands‑on technical support in an MSP, helpdesk, or similar environment
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust with users of varying technical levels
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
