The team of Building Maintenance Engineers help maintain my client's Regional Distribution Centre in Wiltshire, a purpose-built one million sq. ft. automated site which supports their organisational plans to grow from 580 to 1,000 stores.
As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for the continuous running of all vital site facilities, maintaining equipment to a high standard, in turn reducing production downtime, maintaining site safety and operational functionality.
Job Overview:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety and security
- Work at height
- Maintain all Facilities & Site building services including Dock Levellers, Automated Doors and Compactors
- Maintain stock moving equipment
- Keep maintenance software up to date
- Organise maintenance between production requirements
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with good practice, relevant legislation and Company standards
Package Description:
£42,626.48 per annum (plus £8,099 night shift premium), 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts, Night shift - 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

Ideal Candidate Criteria to Apply:
- Safety first attitude
- Ideally both Electrical and Mechanical skills
- Experience and knowledge of Building Services and Facilities Engineering /Maintenance
- Qualified in Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering discipline able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Understand basic hydraulics and pneumatics plumbing and building site services
- A confident communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and a real 'can do' attitude
- Comfortable working at heights
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship desirable, though non-essential
- Ideal background in FM, BM, M&E or MEP
- Applicants from differing engineering backgrounds but transferable skills including ExForces are welcome to apply
