To be successful in the role you will need:
- Qualified carpenter with full understanding of the NZ Building Code
- Minimum of 5 years Site Manager experience in NZ commercial construction
- Co‑ordinate and manage site staff and sub‑contractors to ensure on‑time project completion; proven record of project programming and quality assurance (QA) delivery
- Extensive experience and knowledge in commercial construction – strong leadership and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail, excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities; motivated, reliable and enthusiastic; inspire the site team and bring a collaborative, positive attitude and team culture – a hands‑on site manager
- Compliance with Armitage Williams Construction Health & Safety and Drug & Alcohol Policies
- Drive a “safety first” culture where people clearly demonstrate safe behaviours and think safety before acting, reporting incidents and assisting in Health & Safety investigations as required.
