Armitage Haulage International Ltd a family run company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 Tramper driver for a permanent position. This role involves Monday to Friday with 4 nights delivering goods across various locations of the UK while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial driving experience, particularly with curtainsided & flatbed trailers, and demonstrate a commitment to excellent service. Armitage haulage runs a modern fleet of Volvo FH tractor units fully kitted with fridge microwave & inverter. All trucks are kept to a very high standard. Guaranteed salary Monday to Friday with the option to work Saturday or Sunday if desired. Operate Class 1 vehicles for the transportation of goods across designated routes. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads on vehicles. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage. Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, particularly with curtainsider and flatbed vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights away from home as required.
