The main purpose of the job is to conduct mechanical and/or electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products to required internal and external specifications and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly of a range of products for the Educational Engineering and Food Technology sectors
  • Reporting feedback to Team Leader on job status
  • Working with team members to improve working methods
  • Support in raising CR‑E (Engineering Change Requests) and feeding back engineering issues
  • Supporting the creation of standardised working practices
  • Ensuring product is assembled correctly and on time, supporting production demand as required
  • Ensuring the safety of colleagues remains uncompromised
  • Assisting in booking all units passed to test/stores and completion of necessary documentation
  • Communicating effectively (issues / progress) with Team Leaders
  • Assisting with fault finding, root cause analysis and corrective action events

Requirements

  • At least 3 years electrical production/manufacturing wiring experience
  • IPC620 Specialist or similar qualification (preferred)
  • 5S experience (preferred)
