The main purpose of the job is to conduct mechanical and/or electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products to required internal and external specifications and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly of a range of products for the Educational Engineering and Food Technology sectors
- Reporting feedback to Team Leader on job status
- Working with team members to improve working methods
- Support in raising CR‑E (Engineering Change Requests) and feeding back engineering issues
- Supporting the creation of standardised working practices
- Ensuring product is assembled correctly and on time, supporting production demand as required
- Ensuring the safety of colleagues remains uncompromised
- Assisting in booking all units passed to test/stores and completion of necessary documentation
- Communicating effectively (issues / progress) with Team Leaders
- Assisting with fault finding, root cause analysis and corrective action events
Requirements
- At least 3 years electrical production/manufacturing wiring experience
- IPC620 Specialist or similar qualification (preferred)
- 5S experience (preferred)
