| Introduction The Head Cafeteria Worker, under the direction of the School Food Program Lead, oversees daily operations, as well as food preparation and service of school food programs. Working in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment, the Head Cafeteria Worker is responsible for directing and working collaboratively with the Cafeteria Workers to uphold the values of the School Food and Nutrition Policy and the Inclusive Education policy and is committed to promoting equity, helping create healthy school food environments and interacting with students in a way that is friendly, positive and maintains trust and confidentiality.

| Minimum Requirements - High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent - Culinary of food service management course and/or experience preferred. - Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. - Completion of food safety training program (or willingness to complete upon offer of employment). - Familiarity with computers for ordering food supplies, accessing email and files/shared drives - Able to perform physically strenuous duties of the position, including heavy lifting (possibly up to 50 lb), walking and/or standing for the majority of each shift, and working in an environment with heat fluctuations. - Availability for early morning shift start times as required. |
