Armagh Rural Transport Ltd provides Door-to-Door Transport and Group Hire Services across County Armagh. Our mission is to offer safe, reliable, and accessible transport for individuals and community groups throughout the local area. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Minibus Driver to join our friendly and dedicated team at our Armagh base.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Armagh Rural Transport minibuses on scheduled routes and community journeys.
  • Assist passengers on and off the vehicle, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all users (including use of onboard passenger lifts).
  • Complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and promptly report any issues, defects, or incidents.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out.
  • Refuel and check safety and medical equipment as required.
  • Accurately input journey data into the Drivers Mobile App.
  • Communicate passenger feedback or concerns to management and schedulers.
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Quality Standards (including MiDAS training where applicable).
  • Carry out additional duties aligned with the purpose of the role as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Full Category D1 or Category D PCV Driving Licence with valid Driver CPC.
  • Aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes).
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous minibus driving experience.
  • Experience supporting or assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Good local knowledge of the Armagh area and surrounding routes.
