Arma Cine is a UK-based precision manufacturer specialising in high-end cinematography equipment and bespoke optical accessories for the global film and television industry. We produce complex components and are expanding our capabilities into lens design and optical assemblies. We are growing a team of skilled engineers who can work at the intersection of precision manufacturing and high-performance optics, and are looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist to join us. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a demanding industry such as Formula One, aerospace, or defence, combined with an open and creative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for collaborating on technically challenging, innovative projects in a field where engineering and artistry meet. A good understanding of automation workflows and manufacturing to suit automation timelines is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program 3 axis, 3+2 and 5 axis parts in a timely and efficient manner resulting in programs that are fast and efficient.
- Potential to run jobs you have programmed to get onto the tools is possible if desired.
- Input into design changes for simpler and faster manufacture processes along with input into automation schedules.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Good understanding of manufacturing and working with CNC machines, G-code and working within CAD/CAM software. Current machinery is a Hurco Mill and Fanuc based lathe.
- Programming is currently done within Fusion 360 so a good understanding of the software and its capabilities is preferred but not required. Previous experience in a different CAM package is a must. With the right candidate we are open to upgrading our CAM package to Hypermill.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a permanent full time position subject to a standard probationary period. Our opening hours are 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday and you will work a 37.5hr full time shift within this to suit - Actual hours can be flexible.

The employee will also be regularly required to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
