URGENT ROLE- REQUIRED START ASAP Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer Contract Role – 12 Months £70p/h Remote Role – 1 day on- site every 6 weeks at Devonport, Plymouth The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experience Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard. Job Overview: Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programs. Some of your duties will include: Draft technical design documentation including requirements, design reports, presentations and calculations. Oversee and support generation of a 3D model, 2D CAD drawings and BOMs. Draft technical queries and change records. Oversee conversion of existing design records into a 3D model. Maintain and update the project registers of technical queries, change requests, design review requests and design review actions. Determine durations for design tasks to support the principal engineer and project manager in planning activities. What do you need to succeed? Demonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, e.g. mechanical handling, mechanical or electrical systems / services. A knowledge of cranes is not essential but desirable.
