Due to continued growth and an expanding client portfolio, we are looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Consultant / Advisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking consultancy where you will play a key role in supporting clients with compliance, improving site standards, and delivering practical Health & Safety solutions across live environments. The role can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Undertaking scaffold inspections
- Producing RAMS, risk assessments, and Health & Safety documentation
- Providing practical Health & Safety advice to clients and site teams
- Supporting clients with compliance against UK legislation and industry standards
- Assisting with accident/incident investigations and reporting
- Supporting toolbox talks, briefings, and training initiatives
- Identifying areas for continual improvement across client operations
- Building positive relationships with clients and operatives on site
Essential Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- Minimum 3 years’ site-based experience within construction or related sectors
- Previous experience within a Health & Safety role
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Experience carrying out site inspections and audits
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
- IOSH Membership (TechIOSH or above)
- Scaffold Inspection qualification/experience
- Experience within housing, construction, or facilities management sectors
- Experience producing RAMS and compliance documentation
- Additional Health & Safety qualifications or training experience
