This Group Accountant / Technical Accountant / Financial Controller role will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, audit processes and tax obligations, providing key financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the audit process with working papers for accounting and tax purposes.
- Oversee consolidated monthly and annual financial reporting processes (IFRS).
- Support the finance team complying with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of financial controls, reporting, policies and procedures.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex financial transactions and reporting.
- Timely preparation with advisors of tax computations and tax matters such as P11Ds.
Requirements:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS and financial reporting.
- Experience managing audits and preparing high-quality working papers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with auditors, tax advisors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial reporting systems (eg SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of tax compliance.
- Experience working in a multinational environment would be useful.
