Finance Director – £90,000 + equity + bonus + hybrid – London area
Our client is a VC-backed business using Smart Technology.
At least 4 years PQE required.
Having grown from start-up to £8m turnover in just a few years, it is about to embark on its next period of development and growth and is looking to appoint a Finance Director to lead the finance function and support the expansion. Competitive package to include Bonus and Equity opportunity.
Both hands-on and strategic, the role will involve:
- Working closely with the CEO and the Board
- Oversee a small finance team and support the wider business
- Implement a scalable commercial finance function
- Support business planning and investment decisions
- Lead forecasting and budgeting across the business
- Work with managers to assess return on commercial spend
- Deliver management accounts, dashboards and KPI analysis
- Build controls and systems to provide accurate reporting
- Compliance, risk, insurance, audit and statutory issues
- Liaise with VC backers and develop due-diligence-ready financials
The role requires an ambitious Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA) with at least 4 years’ experience in commerce. You’ll need the ability to contribute strategically in a fast-paced business, yet you’ll also need the experience and willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small, growing finance function.
