This leading national £100m+ niche Design, Construction and Logistics business is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager / Commercial Finance Business Partner to provide meaningful analysis for Senior Management to drive decision-making and improve performance.

The role is based with the team, in the office, easily accessible in North / West London.

Role

  • This Commercial Finance Manager / Commercial Finance Business Partner role will involve:
  • Lead a commercial finance team of 3 staff, providing commercial financial analysis, senior-management dashboards and narrative.
  • Lead and improve stock reporting, forecast usage, ageing/rundown, stock risk and the associated working-capital implications.
  • Develop manufacturing performance reporting covering output, cost, labour, stock and margin drivers.
  • Develop transport utilisation and fleet-cost reporting, including practical KPIs to help improve asset utilisation and cost efficiency.
  • Develop warehousing P&L/cost reporting and ensure overheads are allocated accurately and transparently.
  • Support and challenge project/CVR/WIP reporting across the contracting business and improve the quality and timeliness of information used by operational teams.
  • Build a reporting suite from multiple data sources, using Power BI as a core tool and automating routine reporting wherever sensible.

Candidate Requirements

  • The new Commercial Finance Manager / Commercial Finance Business Partner will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA), with strong commercial finance / business partnering experience from a complex organisation.
  • Experience of stock/inventory and working capital is essential, together with a strong understanding of project/contracting/CVR operations in construction, manufacturing, logistics or warehousing.
  • Power BI capability is essential, together with strong Excel skills and the ability to liaise at the highest levels within an organisation.
