We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Carer to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to residents within our care homes.
Responsibilities
- To assist principally in the continuity of the care residents receive.
- Ensure the residents have given their consent prior to any examination, care, treatment or support taking place and that all residents are treated with respect.
- To assist residents who need help with personal care and promoting independence.
- To care for residents who are temporarily sick and provide palliative care for residents who are dying in line with direction from District Nursing Team.
- To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
- To read and write reports ensuring records are up to date, accurate and kept safe and confidential, and to take part in staff and residents' meetings and in training activities as directed.
- To ensure medication is administered, ordered and stored correctly in line with medication policies and medication audits are completed.
- To ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
- To supervise staff in all departments in the absence of Manager or Deputy, ensuring supervisions and inductions are completed.
- To implement and review care plans, ensuring changes are made to ensure person centred care.
- Liaise with health care professionals and attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
