Join eBay as Head of Media Planning UK. You will develop and drive media strategy for eBay’s Full Funnel marketing campaigns in the UK, collaborating with global marketing teams and local media agencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and refinement of media strategies across online and offline channels.
- Work closely with brand and business teams to create performance‑driven approaches.
- Directly manage an in‑house media planning team, ensuring motivation and goal alignment.
- Plan and manage annual paid media budget, optimizing phasing and allocation.
- Create consumer data‑driven media briefs and guide agencies and internal buying teams.
- Continuously optimize campaign media strategies and assess effectiveness.
- Analyze lower‑funnel media activity, interpret performance drivers, and report to senior partners.
- Identify opportunities in new media channels and innovative placements.
- Evaluate media channel efficiency in reaching target audiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum eight years of media planning experience, ideally in agency and client‑side roles within retail, consumer goods, tech, or internet sectors.
- Expertise in offline and online media planning.
- Experience in a matrixed organization with cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a media team.
- Strong background in briefing and managing media strategy projects with internal departments and external agencies.
- Proficiency in media plan analysis, optimization, and metrics reporting.
- Strong communication skills and comfort liaising with senior partners across marketing & business functions.
