Arla Foods Oswestry are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join the team on a permanent basis. At our Arla Oswestry site we pack circa 79,000 tonnes of cheese annually, 1620 tonnes per week. This includes supplying branded products like Castello, BOB and Arla Pro, along with private label to Waitrose, M&S, Asda and Aldi!
About the job
The successful candidate will work a 3 on, 3 off 12 hours shift pattern that will include both day and night shifts. They will contribute to the quality and technical areas in the warehouse team to enable it to produce the highest quality cheese products in a reliable and cost-effective way.
Duties will include:
- Moving finished product from the production area into the refrigerated storage area.
- Completing all cold store functions including order picking, physical inventory, loading and house-keeping duties.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, operating pallet trucks and completion of paperwork.
- Supporting and maintaining safety and hygiene standards.
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role:
- Ambition & drive.
- Previous experience working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience with food safety regulations and practices would be beneficial but not essential.
- All training and support will be provided during your induction period.
- A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative.
- You’re as serious about quality as we are – and ready to work hard to achieve it.
- A good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills.
