Due to internal moves within the team we have a very exciting vacancy within our Inbound Logistics team for a Transport Team Leader (Transport Shift Manager) to join the team at our Lockerbie Inbound Depot. Working Monday to Friday on a 37.5 hour week contract. You will be leading a shift in the day to day operation of the collection of raw milk from our producers who, as a co-operative business, are also our owners. Reporting into the Inbound Operations Manager, you will ensure that daily activity aligns with the business plan along with legal compliance and health & safety. Closely liaising with Head Office, you will plan and organise the shift to ensure efficient and effective management of the milk collection operation, as the first point of contact for farmers and resolving issues as they arise. You will participate in route planning, using systems such as Verilocation, Opitool and SAP.
As a people manager, you will motivate your team to succeed but also be responsible for day to day training, management of driver group, development, performance management, absence management, discipline and grievances.
