We have an exciting Sustainability Specialist role to join our Taw Valley Creamery team. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £179 million investment. As this project evolves and the site expands so will the opportunities to make an impact.
How you will make an impact
- The role involves monitoring and evaluating energy use, carbon emissions, water consumption, and waste generation.
- The candidate leads Planet governance with a continuous improvement perspective, acting as the main protagonist on the site sustainability committee and representing the site across the Arla network.
- They conduct environmental impact assessments and support the integration of sustainable practices into engineering designs and processes.
- Develop solutions to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and optimize resource use.
- Collect, analyze, and report sustainability data aligned with ESG frameworks.
- Track KPIs and contribute to sustainability reports and audits.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and internal sustainability policies.
- Support certification processes (e.g., ISO 14001, BREEAM, LEED).
What will make you successful
- As the ideal candidate, you will possess advanced and well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific discipline, which have been acquired through either significant years of experience.
- You will have a relevant skilled background in Maintenance, Technical, or Engineering education, such as qualifications in Automation Technology, Maintenance Technology, Utilities Engineering, or similar fields.
- The technical and maintenance expertise includes working with automation, process, or utility equipment in accordance with their area of specialism.
- Additionally, you will have experience with thermal energy, electricity, water usage, gas, compressed air, boiler and steam systems, and preferably cooling systems.
