An excellent opportunity has arisen at our Lockerbie site for a Production Operative to join our Block-former department on a full-time and permanent basis. With significant investment taking place at our Lockerbie, this is the perfect time to join an expanding team allowing you the opportunity to progress your career within the dairy industry.

Reporting into the Shift Team Leader, candidates for the above position will be required to work a rotating shift pattern that will include both day and night shifts where they will play an integral part in the distribution of our fantastic dairy products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Effectively running Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems.
- Sampling and testing finished products and using these results to optimise processes.
- Monitoring equipment performance and correcting/raising issues before they become problems.
- Ensuring that a high standard of Quality and Health and Safety is maintained including compliance with Arla and customer procedures.
- Performing quality checks on our finished product whilst also dealing with paperwork and maintaining production reporting systems.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have some experience of process control systems, have a mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills, which would be an advantage. A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative under pressure. Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be preferable, although the appropriate training will be provided. Have a very flexible attitude to hours of work which include weekend, shift working on a rota basis and holiday cover.
