Join our Production team as an operator at our Aylesbury Dairy and you will contribute to making food that is loved by millions.

Job Purpose

As a Production Operative you will be part of a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging department, team and personal goals.

The role will be to support a team, optimize resources and coordinate activities to ensure operational tar-gets are met which in turn contributes to ensuring departmental / site goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Work to high standards to achieve departmental targets in Quality, Efficiency, Waste and cost reduction.
  • Actively contribute and seek continuous improvements to achieve departmental targets.
  • Resolve minor breakdowns and carry out basic maintenance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems.
  • Maintain strict food hygiene and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure full completion of daily targets.
  • Ensure departmental procedures are followed and records are maintained.
  • Contribute to the team reporting and decision making process.
  • Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
  • Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Maintain high standards of work ethics in respect to lateness and absences.
  • Plan production effectively to optimise resources and output.
  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the role.
