Arla is the UK’s largest dairy, farmer owned and the creator of household favourite brands such as Cravendale, Anchor, Lurpak & Castello plus many more. Arla Foods Stourton have an exciting opportunity in their QEHS team for an EHS Co-ordinator. The dairy, located in south Leeds, is one of the largest in the UK with the capacity to produce 750 million litres of milk per year.
You will play a key part in the site QEHS team in delivering results to ensure continuous improvement through Environment, Health and Safety. You will also drive our ambitious Safety agenda and support the Wellbeing of our 450 colleagues. Reporting directly to the Senior QEHS Manager, with another Team member, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and through internal audit identify and develop areas for continuous improvement. You will drive Safety Culture on Site as lead in our Behavioural Safety Programme, and develop our Safety Champions to ensure Safety accountability in all areas of the Site. In addition, with committed investment from our Farmer Owners over a number of years, you will support a busy CapEx project agenda on Site.
What do you need?
- We’re looking for people who have an Environmental, Health and Safety background – ideally gained within a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) essential
- Strong Leadership and Team work skills
- Experience of Environmental ISO 14001 standard preferable
- IEMA certificate (or equivalent) preferable
- Lead auditor preferable.
- Strong attention to detail and IT skills are essential.
