As a Despatch Operative you will be part of a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging department, team and personal goals. Completing all Cold store functions including loading milk tets to trailers sending it to customers all around UK, using voice picking devices and picking loose bottles to fulfil customer orders, conducting physical inventory, housekeeping duties and looking after our robots.
Responsibilities:
- Work to high standards to achieve departmental targets in Quality, Efficiency, Waste and Cost reduction.
- Actively contribute and seek continuous improvements to achieve departmental targets.
- Resolve minor breakdowns and carry out basic maintenance and asset care.
- Ensure full completion of daily targets.
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed and records are maintained.
- Contribute to the team reporting and decision making process.
- Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
- Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
- Maintain high standards of work ethics in respect to lateness and absences.
- Maintain strict Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards within the department.
- Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis.
- Undertake cleaning requirements in line with cleaning schedules.
- Voice picking operation of loose bottles ensuring customer receives all required product.
- Loading milk trolleys on trailers mechanically and manually.
- Working with state of art technology, such as our Automated Guided Vehicles.
