Arla Foods is looking for a proactive and efficient Despatch Operative to join the team at our flagship site in Aylesbury on a permanent basis. Working a 12‑hour rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights, you will monitor the despatch area ensuring key targets are achieved. The shift pattern is over a 5‑week cycle and includes 10 consecutive days off.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Loading milk trolleys to trailers, delivering to customers across the UK.
  • Using voice picking devices, picking loose bottles to fulfil customer orders.
  • Conducting physical inventory and performing housekeeping duties.
  • Caring for our robots.
  • Resolving minor breakdowns and carrying out basic maintenance and asset care.
  • Ensuring quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
  • Actively promoting communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and correcting or raising issues before they become problems.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • You must be a strong communicator, able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner, have a good attendance record, and a willingness to learn further skills.
