Arla Foods are looking for proactive and efficient Despatch Operative to join the team at our flagship site in Aylesbury on a permanent basis. Working a 12 hour rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights you will monitor the despatch area ensuring key targets are achieved. The shift pattern is over 5 weeks and includes 10 consecutive days off!
You will be responsible for loading milk tets to trailers sending it to customers all around UK, using voice picking devices and picking loose bottles to fulfil customer orders, conducting physical inventory, housekeeping duties and looking after our robots. You will be working with state of art technology, such as our Automated Guided Vehicles, where you will ensure full completion of daily targets whilst maintaining strict food hygiene and Health & Safety standards within the department.
Responsibilities- Resolve minor breakdowns and carry out basic maintenance and asset care.
- Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
- Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
- Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis.
- Voice picking operation of loose bottles ensuring customer receives all required product.
- Loading milk trolleys on trailers mechanically and manually.
- Working with state of art technology, such as our Automated Guided Vehicles.
We are looking for a motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules. Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings. You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills.
